Fernando Martin Arocas was born in Madrid, Spain. He studied Economics & Business Administration with a concentration in Audit at Universidad Complutense in Madrid. He participated in a competitive public examination and earned a position at the Banco de España as a supervisor of credit institutions.

In 2004, he started painting for the first time and has been doing it ever since. His pieces have been sold at galleries, small exhibitions and mainly through people that have encountered his art and became interested.

An autodidactic painter who works primarily in abstract — large format oil on canvas — but also experiments across tempera, watercolour, acrylics, pastels and india ink, on paper, canvas and wood. Fernando's abstracts sometimes draw vague connections to landscape while remaining fully non-representational, always driven by his personal expressionism.
